Rosanna Watowicz, PhD, RD, LD

Rosanna Watowicz is a registered dietitian and assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. As an educator, she conducts research on how to train students and practitioners on the evidence-based practice process, and she has co-developed in-person and online curricula on the topic of evidence-based practice. Her clinical research is focused on treatment of pediatric obesity and she is particularly interested in effective treatments for children with severe obesity. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses within the department and loves to see students excited about the field of nutrition. Her goal is to train compassionate and evidence-based health care professionals. She is currently a member of the Academy’s Implementation Subcommittee under the Council on Research, as well as the editorial board of the Pediatric Nutrition Care Manual. Dr. Watowicz completed her undergraduate degree at Miami University in Ohio, and her masters degree, dietetic internship, and Ph.D. at The Ohio State University.
