Dr. Andie Lee Gonzalez, first generation Latina, attended Michigan State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics completed a Dietetic internship rotation program and her Masters in Public Health from the College of Human Medicine. She then her Doctorate in Philosophy in Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2018 and in 2019 completed a certificate in Business Analytics from Michigan State University. She currently is training as a Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, serves in the executive board for the Latinos and Hispanics in Dietetics and Nutrition group, serves as a delegate for the Texas Academy of Nutrition, an executive board member for the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association, Co-Chair for Unidos Contra La Diabetes and a member to La Joya Catholic Daughters of the Americas are a few roles she serves to support her purpose in advocating health and education in our community.
Dr. Andie Lee Gonzalezs current career is with H-E-B Nutrition Services as a Sales Representative where she helps serves as a spokesperson for health and wellness for the Border and Gulf coast region in South Texas.
In her spare time, her joy is spending time with her husband Ricardo, daughter Aolani, son Arturo, and extended family. Hobbies include spending time outdoors and helping her daughter with her FFA animals and 4H projects. She is a highly motivated Latina who values family, hard work, and serving others.
