Judy Kirk has had many rewarding positions as a Register Dietitian in clinical nutrition, management and long term care in the first half of her career. After which she has spent the last 20 years in nephrology and more recently now in transplant nutrition. Judy has published various papers, articles and reports for the National Kidney Foundation in her roles on the Council on Renal Nutrition as a Region Representative and Chair in her 13 years of service on the Council on Renal Nutrition Executive Committee. Judy has worked with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the National Kidney Foundation , on the National Kidney Diet,, the current PD Chapter revision of the Clinical Guide to Nutrition Care in Kidney Disease, and as coauthor for the SOP/SOPP revision 2020. Judy is currently a committee member on the Global Renal Internet Course for Dietitians (GRID) which is designed to bring together dietitians and other healthcare workers from developed and developing countries engaged in kidney patient care onto a single education platform that furthers scientific knowledge and practice aspects of renal nutrition in a 3 module program.
