Dr. Mitchel K. Holliday is a Commissioned Officer with the United States Public Health Service and currently serves as the Chief of Nutrition and Dietetics for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Central Office. Dr. Holliday’s major responsibilities include nutritional management of the BOP National Menu that serves approximately 122,000 federal inmates per day and service as BOP senior subject matter expert on clinical and public health nutrition policies and guidelines. Dr. Holliday recently served as the Correctional Subunit Chair for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Dietetics in Health Care Communities Dietetic Practice Group from the spring of 2017- 2021.
