Larry K. Ellingson, Fountain Hills, Arizona, holds a BS, Pharmacy, from North Dakota State University (NDSU), Fargo, North Dakota and an ExecuCve MBA from Babson College, Babson Park, MassachuseGs.
Larry continues to remain active with diabetes organizations and was co founder of the National Diabetes Volunteer Leadership Council now known as the Diabetes Leadership Council which continues to work in advocacy on behalf of those people affected by diabetes. He servered on numberous Boards and committees associated with Diabetes causes including the former American Dietetic Association now known as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the International Diabetes Federation and served on the Executive Committee of the American Diabetes Association and was Chair of the Board in 2005.
Larry has been honored several times for his achievements in his eld The ADA, Indiana aliate awarded Larry the J.K. Lilly Award in 2004 for his contribuCons & service to the eld of diabetes. North Dakota State University awarded him the highest honor in 2007, naming him An Outstanding Alumni of the Year for his contribuCons to the eld and to the University. The American Diabetes AssociaBon recognized Larry in 2006 with the Charles H. Best Medal for Outstanding Service for his excepConal contribuCons as Chair of the Board. The ADA recognized Larry most recently with the presCgious Wendell Mayes Jr. Award in November, 2013 for his long term service to diabetes. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics awarded Larry honorrary Membership in 2020.
