Dr. Elgloria Harrison is an educator, academic leader, and a clinician with over 25 years of experience as a practicing health care professional with a career focused on serving historically underrepresented populations. Dr. Harrison is the current Dean and Professor of the School of Health Sciences Human Services, and Nursing at Lehman College City University of New York; however, she had been the Associate Dean of Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences at the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, DC. Dr. Harrisons research interests have focused on health disparity and health equity from the lens of chronic diseases, more specifically Asthma in the very young and the very old.

Dr. Harrisons research has also evolved to include physical activity and nutrition in older adults to which she and her research team have published research on the impact of inactivity and poor nutrition on older adults in Washington, DC.

Dr. Harrison received her Doctorate in Management and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration degrees from the University of Maryland University Global Campus Largo, Maryland; and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern University, New Orleans, Louisiana. She also holds a Master of Science in Strategic Communication from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
