Ms. Noreen Mucha has over 18 years of experience working in international development, primarily focusing in the public health sector but also within the agriculture and education sectors. Experience includes working with multiple donors, United Nations, host country governments, international non-governmental organizations, think-tanks, U.S. military, research institutions and universities. Technical areas of expertise include: nutrition (both specific and sensitive) to reduce stunting and acute malnutrition, infectious disease including HIV and AIDS, malaria and Tuberculosis as well as orphans and vulnerable children programming. Noreen has led national nutrition program designs for Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Mali, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zambia. Most recently, Noreen is working with the National Food and Nutrition Commission of Zambia through USAID-support to develop their national multisectoral nutrition common results framework and sub-national performance indicators scorecards. Noreen also recently assisted Mozambique’s government to develop a bottleneck analysis for the integrated management of acute malnutrition programming while developing a comprehensive costing of the national program including developing national level population projections and targets. Noreen has experience with both qualitative and quantitative research and evaluations including performance evaluations, impact evaluations, household surveys. This includes designing evaluation tools and instruments, training enumerators, conducting key informant interviews and focus group discussions as well as summarizing results and findings.
